celebrating love

In this special day, may this be my pledge and vow to you and to God, and may this serve as a holy prayer in heaven to tie us together til our last breath.

In earnest prayer, petition and pledge, help us dear Lord to live in harmony to be united as one til death do us part.
Help me become a loving, patient and understanding spouse, willing to submit and become one flesh with my husband. Trusting that when there is brokenness, it will be mend. when there is weakness, we'll draw strength from God and from one another. when there is doubt, faith will endure.
When there is pride, help us to be humble. when there is sin, help us to be forgiving with each other. when there is threat in the marriage, we will protect it through God's help. When there is a need, we will provide with each other through your grace.  When there is temptation, strengthen our love that we may resist. when there is pain, help us both be healers of each other.

i give thanks to god, for your gift of love and for your life that is about to be shared with me. for the joy that God has planted in our hearts, and for a blissful home that will grow more through God. Help us Lord, that this marriage may make us become more holy and Christ like. That we may always treasure the experience of loving each other and growing old together.

help us Lord to become a friend who's willing to listen, a refuge from the storm, a hero from life's struggles and warrior partners in prayer and in faith.

In Jesus name, I claim and promise that these be fulfilled til my last breath.
