If The Shoe Fits...

What is it about shoes that people go "gaga" about?

Shoes were invented during 7,000 to 8,000 B.C. They were merely used as feet protection. Ancient people living in cold climates used shoes to protect their feet from cold. Some, used shoes as protection from sharp rocks. 

When the Egyptians invented sandals and boots, they wore them for different purposes. And shoe design started to evolve.The Egyptians were the first shoe makers designers in history. 

  


During the 15th century, shoes were concealed under long big skirts. Shoes were not really for visual purposes, shoes were used for practical purposes.  

Then fashion came which gave way to the invention of the pointed uncomfortable six inch toes. These shoes eventually paved way for the invention of another vexatious foot wear -- the high heeled shoes!

                   

Nowadays, shoes have become a fashion "NECESSITY". They actually serve the visual purpose rather than the "practical" purpose of  feet protection. 
                                                                     
From woven grass, to animal hide, to wood, to leather, to rubber, to plastic, even Glass! Shoes have evolved vastly. 

Nowadays, shoes actually completes one's ensemble. Try walking on the streets without shoes and people would think you're going nuts. It's like getting out of the house NAKED! 

Shoes do not only count in the fashion strip. What I'm talking about is that if you want to know the personality of your date, try looking at her shoes. 

If she likes wearing flats she's the type that's easy to get along with, easy to please, simple. She's the sporty, playful, humorous, outgoing type if she likes wearing sneakers and rubber shoes. She's most likely the high maintenance, persistent, flirty, determined kind of girl if she likes strutting in high heels. But if she prefers wearing 'em all...You're in TROUBLE! 


                                                      


                                                          

I personally love shoes. I believe these can either make or break your get up. 

Perfect clothes + Wrong shoes = Disaster. 

Maybe not all of us are aware, but the society has managed to dictate that shoes are the basis of a person's social status. And a person's taste, sense of choice and decision.  


   



                                 

Like clothes, my choice of shoes to wear depends on my mood. 

I know that most guys don't get it. But wearing skyscraper heels is more than just beauty and pain. It gives the girls a sense of "elation". And I don't just mean literally. Like make-up, it makes us feel more competent and confident.

A guy friend warned me that wearing high heels dis-aligns the spine. But why so negative? Wearing high heeled shoes exercises the calf muscles resulting to stronger legs, sexier struts and SUCCESS! 




  


While you're still on your way to the top, wear shoes that will equip you in winning. 3 inches high, flats, sneakers, it doesn't matter. Because smart girls dissent the idea of prioritizing shoes in their budget list. We always put the necessity first. Wise decisions!

While advertisements make it look as if buying "New Shoes" is a necessity, let us not forget the fact that there are more important things than what the eyes can perceive. 

                               


Do not let wearing shoes that need to retire affect your performance.
As I always say, trust in yourself and in your abilities in achieving your dreams.
